Steer Davies Gleave is delighted to announce the appointment of Riccardo Bobisse who joins the firm to further develop their Urban Design offer. He joins as an Associate based in their UK Planning team.

A recognised Practitioner in Urban Design (UDG) and Design Council/CABE Built Environment Expert (BEE), Riccardo is an urbanist with a multidisciplinary background and over 12 years’ of experience in urban design in both the public and private sectors.

The Colombian government wants to position the country as a power in transport infrastructure so as to increase competitiveness and to overcome the underinvestment of the twentieth century. The Intermodal Transport Master Plan, with investment of approximately US$ 3.3 billion in the next ten years, and a new methodology to prioritise projects, will help them reach this goal.

Scott is an economist by training and brings over 25 years’ experience of designing, appraising, delivering, and evaluating public policies, programmes, and projects. The EUR 103 million Bologna light rail PPP scheme reached financial close on 30th September 2016.

The sponsors secured EUR 68 million of facilities, including 19-year EUR 48 million of senior debt, as well as a three-year EUR 13 million bridge loan and a three-year EUR 7.5 million VAT facility.

Lenders comprise UniCredit, which provided 40% of the debt, Unipol Banca (20%), BPER (20%); and local lenders Banca di Bologna, Emilbanca, Interprovinciale di Modena and Cassa di Risparmio di Rimini (Carim), providing the remaining 20%.
