Toronto’s UP Express air-rail link named Project of the Year
The Union Pearson Express (UP Express) airport rail link in Toronto has won the Project of the Year Award at the Global AirRail Awards in Frankfurt, Germany. Steer Davies Gleave has supported Metrolinx throughout the planning of this project, specifically preparing the ridership and revenue forecasts for this new service.
Survey of fans reveal who is the champion of football travel
The Campaign for Better Transport has published a ranking of Premier League stadiums according to their accessibility by public transport and the ease of spectator travel to/from football games. Steer Davies Gleave has worked with four (Newcastle United, Arsenal, Fulham and Southampton) of the top five highly ranked clubs on projects to improve spectator travel.
SDG strengthens its Board of Directors
Following a successful year - having won a number of eminent awards, grown in new and exciting markets and worked with clients on many prestigious transportation projects - Steer Davies Gleave is delighted to announce several internal appointments.
The new roles include Hugh Jones becoming Chief Executive Officer, Steve Hewitt becoming Group Development and Operations Director, and Catherine Clark joining the Board of Directors as Finance Director. Steer Davies Gleave’s Urban Realm Team has been invited to present at the Complete Streets Forum 2013, to be held in Toronto, Canada. The conference, which will take place on 27 May 2013, brings together urban and transport planning practitioners to discuss and present projects on city shaping and street design from around the world.
TDM expert Stuart Anderson joins SDG
